Trusts & Foundations

We are keen to build long-term relationships with grant-making trusts and foundations.

We welcome discussions about how we can work together to reach more people who are denied the pleasure of books because they are unable to read standard print either due to visual impairment, dyslexia or another kind of disability which means they struggle to read print.

Grants can help us to grow and offer new services, as well as support our core activities. In 2022-23, Trusts and Foundations provided 30% of our income and helped to deliver our service to over 15,000 members.

In 2022-23, 94 Trusts and Foundations generously supported us, enabling us to support our members all around the UK, with many supporting members in specific regions.

Others gave us funding to help to cover the cost of adding new books to the library, enabling us to provide over 1,000 new titles. And, some are helping specifically with expanding our work with young people, adding titles specifically for under-18s and helping us promote the service in schools.
