Audiobook groups

Audiobook groups are a powerful way of bringing people together, fostering community and a love of reading. We can help you get your audiobook group off the ground, so those who struggle with the printed word can get involved.

We'll provide you with digital copies of an audiobook, so everyone can read the same title at the same time. This system works on a yearly subscription fee.

The subscription includes:

• Borrowing up to 20 copies of an audiobook, up to twelve times a year.

• Access to audiobooks via streaming, download, or USB sticks.

• Access to a specially collated list of titles, with the option to request titles from our wider collection of more than 23,000 audiobooks.

• Audiobook recommendations and assistance in managing audiobook request lists.

Subscription costs £18 per person per year (including VAT).

We want you to feel confident with the service and to help you get started, so we're offering a free three-month trial period. After the free trial period, we will invoice you for the next year.

Interested in joining one of our established groups? We facilitate in person, telephone, and online audiobook groups. Our in person groups are as follows:

Bucks groups

• Aylesbury Library – First Wednesday of the month, 2–3.30pm

• Chesham Library – Last Wednesday of the month, 11am-12.30pm

• High Wycombe (Hughenden Gardens) – First Thursday of the month, 2-3.30pm

• Marlow Library – Third Thursday of the month, 11.30am-1pm

• Weston Turville (Calibre Audio office) – Last Wednesday of the month, 11am-12.30pm

Milton Keynes groups

• Milton Court Care Home – First Wednesday of the month, 2-3.30pm, from July 2026

• MK Macular Society – Third Monday of the month, 1.30-3pm

• Newport Pagnell Library – Last Wednesday of the month, 10.30am-12pm

• Stony Stratford Library – Second Wednesday of the month, 2-3.30pm

• Wolverton Library – Second Friday of the month, 10.30am-12pm

Telephone groups

Our telephone audiobook group currently meets on the second Thursday of each month at 2-3pm.
